About this Course
This course will teach educators serving as District Representatives for Special Education meetings, the important "look fors" in SpEd documents, how to ensure they have the right team assembled, and other key responsibilities for their role.

Expected Learning Outcomes
Participants will be able to:
- Articulate the required roles of a District Rep
- Ensure teams are comprised of all required/necessary/additional team members, and the importance of the general education teachers
- Review basic document/meeting “look for’s,” common compliance pitfalls, and meeting goals
- Ensure teams are reviewing data when determine change of placement, removal of services, and LRE.
- Identify basic PR-01 considerations

Meet the Instructors
Jenine Sansosti
Rachel M. Undercoffer is an Educational Consultant for State Support Team 8 in the areas of Special Education and Positive Behavior Intervention Supports; her work focuses on equity, multi-tiered systems of support, disproportionality, and providing consultation and professional development to school districts. Rachel previously worked as a School Psychologist for nine years in the districts of: Medina, North Royalton, and Aurora. She is a state and nationally certified school psychologist, Ohio Board of Psychology privately licensed school psychologist, and a board-certified cognitive specialist.
